Dear Logan Elementary Families,

Thank you to our awesome PTO for helping us launch a great Fall Fundraiser! We truly appreciate the time, energy, and support they continue to provide to our Logan Elementary community. We are still looking for volunteers to assist with Chocolate Checkout. If you are available to help, please visit the link in the fundraiser section to sign up and support this important effort.

Parking Reminder:
Please be mindful of parking across the street during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. The owner of the massage parlor has asked that our families not use their parking lot. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration of our neighboring businesses.

Important Reminders for This Week:

  • Thursday: Early dismissal at 11:00 a.m. and Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a conference.
  • Friday: Teacher Workday – No School for Students.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students, teachers, and the Logan Elementary community. Let’s have another great week at Logan!

Proud Principal Copeland

At Security Federal Bank, we offer a specialized savings account for kids designed to teach financial responsibility from an early age. Our youth savings accounts provide an excellent way for children to learn the importance of saving money while earning interest on their deposits.

If you are interested in opening a youth savings account and setting your child on the path to a secure financial future, Security Federal will be onsite on Friday of each week during the school year. Deposits will be available for drop-off between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. on Fridays.

For more details, they can be reached at: 1900 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC, 803-739-3960, and SVoit@securityfederalbank.com.

Carline Procedures Carline Procedures

We Must Work Together To Keep All Leopards Safe!!

Car Line Drop-Off

  • Every child needs hugs, kisses, or high fives to start the school day. Please take care of this before arriving in the drop-off zone each day.
  • Drivers, please remain in your vehicle. When you stop and get out, it slows the flow of the line.
  • Pull as far forward as reasonably possible to allow space for more parents to drop-off their Leopards.

  • Have students exit the car from the passenger side (right side). Students who exit from the driver’s side create a much higher chance for an accident.

  • Students may exit the car only after crossing the DOUBLE WHITE LINE.

  • The doors are open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Please note that students must be in the classroom by 7:30 a.m. prepared for the instructional day.
  • If you arrive after 7:30 am, please walk your child to the front office to complete the tardy slip. Do not leave your child unattended at the front door.
  • After the first day, parents will not be allowed to walk in the building. This is for all parent and guardians. A staff member will ensure your child report to his or her assigned class.
  • If a family in front of you is taking longer than usual, you may carefully pull around the car when it is safe to do so.

  • Avoid walking across the parking lot. The sidewalk is a much safer alternative.

Car Line Pick-up

  • Please remember to clearly display your child's car rider sign in the windows of your car. You will be able to pick up a tag during our Back to School Orientation.
  • All transportation changes must be received in writing and always sent to your child’s teacher using their communication platform, e-mail, or fax to (803) 929-3896. All same day transportation changes need to be done through the front office.
  • Early dismissal will end at 2:00 p.m. This is to ensure that dismissal is smooth at the end of the day. If there is an emergency, please contact the front office or let me know so accommodations can be made.
  • The school day ends at 2:30 p.m. You must remain in your car. Please do not stand at the front entrance doors. Car riders will stay in the classroom with their teacher until their name is called.
  • Abbeville Street will be a ONE WAY street (towards Park Street) between posted times 7:00 - 7:30 AM and 2:20 - 3:00 PM.
  • NO LEFT TURN into the school parking lot from Lincoln Street during posted times 7:00 - 7:30 AM and 2:20 - 3:00 PM.
