Message From The Office Message From The Office

There are so many great things happening at Ecole Hammond Bay this Fall. From recess arts clubs, to sports to PAC sponsored events. We are so grateful to be a part of this vibrant community!

The office wishes to thank parent volunteers for helping out in the classrooms and on field trips. You make all the difference in enriching our student's educational experience!
We also want to give a shout out to the PAC and parent volunteers for the fantastic Halloween Dance- that was a ton of effort and everyone had a blast.
A special shout out to parent/DJ E. Devine of Island DJ company who volunteered his night and kept everyone dancing and singing.

Thank you to students in Division 15, led by M La Bounty for hosting the Remembrance Day Assembly this year. The presentation was a thoughtful and poignant reminder of the significance of commemorating the sacrifices of those who have served. You clearly put a lot of time and effort into preparing the assembly. Merci!

Congratulations again to all of our participants in last week’s District Cross Country Meet and to our Football Teams. Hammond Bay Cross Country Team finished in 2nd place out of all Nanaimo schools! Way to go Hornets!

Thanks to our parent volunteers who helped with all our teams, races and games. Another thank you goes to M. Palmer, M. Kevin, Mme. Alyssa, Mme. Zwick and Mme. Monica and Admin who all contributed in making Cross Country and/or Football successful this season.

A special thank you to Mr. Bamford for organizing the entire Cross Country season from start to finish, while also co-sponsoring the Football team with Mme Alyssa.

Cross Country Runners: A reminder to please wash and return all jerseys used in the races as soon as possible!

Preparing for Wet Weather at School Preparing for Wet Weather at School

We are starting to see more rainy, windy days. To help students stay comfortable and focused, it’s important they come to school dressed for the weather. Waterproof jackets, boots, and umbrellas can make a big difference on wet days. Packing an extra pair of socks or keeping a change of clothes in backpacks is also a great idea—just in case!

Please remind your child to check the forecast before heading out, and encourage them to dress in layers to stay warm and dry throughout the day. A little preparation helps everyone enjoy the season safely and comfortably!
