Redwood MS - Viking Voice #14
Monday, November 17th - Friday, November 21st
Important E- Bike Information
Please take some time to review e-bike reminders and information from the Ventura County Sheriff Department. As the holidays approach it is important to reiterate to our teens how to safely ride throughout our community. While the e-bikes can be great for teens to get around town, it is critical to understand how to safely navigate and share the roads, and know what types of bikes are NOT permitted on public roads. Thank you all for helping keep our community safe for our kids!
- E-Bike and Motorized Scooter Presentation (Link) - This was a presentation provided to DAC last week from Deputy Matt Hirsh from VC Sheriff Traffic Division. Sergeant Holmes and Senior Deputy Grillo also attended.
Important E-Bike Laws & Safety Information (SMORE) - A joint communication between VC Sheriff's Office and CVUSD.

Prescription pet food (unopened and not expired)

FINAL REMINDER!!
- The window to purchase CVUSD chromebook protection will close after November. This means that every student who has a CVUSD device checked out is responsible for any cost to repair or replace the device.
- Students who need to repair the device without district insurance will need to go to a private repair shop.
- Note- Redwood will not issue temporary loaner devices to student during the time repair, unless written documentation is provided by the repair shop that the device is currently being serviced.
Gratitude November
This November, we’re celebrating Gratitude Month at Redwood Middle School with the theme:
“Gratitude Starts with Us.” As a school we are creating a gratitude tree. Each week will have a new prompt for students to complete a gratitude leaf. At the end of each week there will be a drawing of the week's leaves. I entry per person/week. Selected leaves will a prize!
- Week 3 prompt: What is one thing you can do this week to make someone's day better? It can be for a teacher, friend, class mate or anyone else in the community. "One thing I can do to is ________________ ."
Gratitude is a simple but powerful way to strengthen our Viking community. Thank you for being such an important part of what makes Redwood special.
