If you are picking up your child early from school, please be aware that the cutoff time for pick ups is now 2:45pm. The only exception to this is if you have an emergency situation, otherwise, we ask that you wait for the school day to finish.

If you are changing how your student is going home from school (ex: taking the bus instead of parent pick up) please make sure to call the office and relay any changes before 2:00pm.

Please keep in mind that, with 750 students in our school, the end of the day is a very busy time for students, teachers and staff and last minute requests for pick ups and transportations changes can create issues with getting kids to the right place at the end of the day.

Thank you for your cooperation and partnership.

Bel Air is excited for this year's book fair for Fall 2026. Students will have the opportunity to visit the fair during the school day. It will also be open in the evening for families to attend on October 22th from 3:00pm-6:30pm in the library! You can also shop online. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/belairelementaryschool2

Please visit our Book Fair webpage at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/belairelementaryschool2

to sign up for eWallet – an easy way to upload funds for your child to shop with at the fair. This eliminates the need for sending cash to school.

We are also looking for parent volunteers to work the bookfair during the schoolday and during parent communication night on October 22nd. Please email Sandy.Bona-Czech@moundsviewschools.org

All students are offered one breakfast and one lunch meal at no cost each day at school as part of the Minnesota Free School Meals Program. Although no application is required to receive this meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important and households need to apply for Educational Benefits each school year.

Families who qualify are eligible for many great benefits, such as reduced (or free) fees on sports and activities, college application fees, transportation, community programs and more. Watch the video below to learn more and apply at mvpschools.org/reducedfees.

Riding the Bus and Food/Drink

While riding the bus, students are expected to keep all food and drink in their backpacks. This expectation prevents choking incidents, exposure to life-threatening allergens, and promotes bus sanitation.

Building Security Procedures

A visitor screening system helps track visitors and volunteers at each school, providing a safe and monitored environment for students and staff. When parents come to pickup their child(ren), or visitors check in, they will be asked to present a valid state issued ID for entering into the system.

Phone Numbers/Staff Directory

Staff phone numbers and email addresses are available on the Bel Air Website at: Bel Air Staff. To reach a teacher via email: firstname.lastname@mvpschools.
