CPC Update

Happy Halloween!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Counselors' Breakfast next Friday at 8:15 AM. Career Advisors, please take a moment to review the details below to ensure we’re all aligned for a smooth and successful event. As guests arrive, please make an effort to locate the representatives from your assigned schools to greet them and sit with them during the breakfast to help foster connection and conversation.

Today, I’ll be reviewing the RSVP list with Dawn. If needed, I’ll reach out to discuss combining some tour groups to help minimize classroom disruptions. To support accessibility, we have requested a couple of golf carts in case any of our visitors need assistance getting around campus.

We’re excited for this event and appreciate your help in making it a great experience for our guests.

Our Fall Counselors' Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2025, beginning at 8:15 AM. Each year, we offer program tours to the counselors and school personnel in attendance, and this year we’re making a few adjustments to enhance the experience.

We’d like to make the tours intentional and personalized by connecting school personnel with the programs their students are actively engaged in. To help make this happen, here’s the plan:

Action Steps:

· Each career advisor will be paired with school personnel from their assigned high school.

· Career advisors will also be paired with a CPC or CRD team member to assist with the tour coordination.

• Identify Relevant Programs

· Together, the career advisor and CPC/CRD team member will review program rosters to identify which programs have multiple students from the assigned high school.

• Contact Instructors

· Once programs are identified, the team will reach out to those instructors to let them know that we would like school personnel to visit their classroom during the tour period on 11/7.

• Special Support for PT/RN/DF Career Advisors

· For career advisors at PT, RN, or DF campuses, this process may be more challenging. That’s why CPC RK members will assist in contacting RK instructors and coordinating visits.

• Limit to Two Program Visits

· Due to time constraints, each team will likely only be able to visit two programs during the tour.

• Tour Coordination Spreadsheet

· I've created a shared spreadsheet (Linked HERE) to track which programs each team plans to visit. This will help us coordinate and avoid overlapping visits. If multiple teams plan to visit the same program, we’ll aim to go together to minimize classroom disruptions.

• Refer to the Agenda

· Please check the agenda for the flow of the day. The tours will be from 9:40-10:10am (Agenda linked HERE)

We’ve partnered with Andrew’s team to ensure that Career Advisors and Special Needs Advisors are now included in your school's weekly eligibility email. The goal is to help you stay informed about students who may be struggling so you can offer timely support as needed.

* If you don’t receive an eligibility email on a given week, it likely means there were no students flagged as eligible.

Please notify Dawn on the days you plan on being out (if any) around upcoming breaks. She is working on a list of who and when folks will be out to get a good picture of coverage during these times. Thank you!
