Lunch will begin at 12:00 pm for all students.
Kids will enjoy lunch the entire time with their Loved One(s)
NO PARKING along the building in the parking lot, please park on the blacktop or on side streets!
Medication Pickup Reminder

Medications will not be sent home with students.
Remaining medications will be discarded after the deadline.
Last Day of School
The last day of school for kindergarten will be Thursday, May 21, 2026. It will be a normal schedule from students in kindergarten.
The last day of school for first - fifth grade will be Friday, May 22, 2026. It will be a 1:40 pm dismissal day for students.
5th Grade Clap Out on LAST DAY
It is hard to believe, but the time has come to celebrate our incredible 5th-grade students as they prepare to move on to middle school. To honor their journey at DuJardin, we will be holding our traditional 5th Grade Clap-Out on the last day of school!
Our 5th graders walk the halls of DuJardin one last time, cheered on by all the younger students and staff members.
Date: Last Day of School
Time: 1:20 PM (Clap Out Begins)
Parent Location: DuJardin Front Entrance
We invite all 5th-grade parents and families to join us! Please gather outside by the front doors to create a "cheering tunnel" for the students as they exit the building for the very last time.
Thank you for being such an integral part of this class's journey. Let’s give them the send-off they deserve!
2026-2027 School Calendar
The 2026-2027 school calendar was amended during the most recent Bloomingdale School Board Meeting.
The change involves the Early Release schedule. The district will transition from monthly Early Release days to weekly Early Release days.
The New Schedule:
Weekly Release: Students will be released at 3:00 PM every Wednesday.
Previous Schedule: This replaces the former schedule of a 1:40 PM dismissal once per month.
Click here to access the new 2026-2027 updated calendar.
Registration for 2026-2027
Kindergarten Eligibility Children who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the upcoming school year.
New vs. Returning Student Portals To streamline the process, we have two distinct registration pathways:
New Student Portal: For families brand new to District 13.
Returning Student Portal: For any student currently enrolled in D13 during the 2025-2026 school year.
Important Note for Transitioning Students If your child currently attends a D13 school, they are considered a returning student. You should use the Returning Student Portal even if your child is moving from one building to another (for example, moving from DuJardin Elementary to Westfield Middle School OR moving from Preschool at Erickson to Kindergarten at Erickson or DuJardin).

Trump Accounts give the next generation a jump start on saving
The Working Families Tax Cuts allows parents, guardians and other authorized individuals to establish a new type of individual retirement account for their children, called Trump Accounts. The account is for a child who has not turned age 18 before the end of the calendar year in which the election is made and has a valid Social Security number.
The account features a pilot program contribution of $1,000 for children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, and who are U.S. citizens with a valid Social Security number.

Student Needs:
Please inform the nurse of any allergies or sensitivities to foods, medications, and environmental allergens. If there are any pertinent details of your students' health that you feel the nurse needs to know, please reach out and discuss this with the school nurse. This information can be helpful to better support your student throughout the day, if certain situations arise.
About Your Student’s Medication:
The district's medication administration policy mandates that all medication to be administered at school requires an MD order, this includes over-the-counter medications. Students may NOT keep over-the-counter meds in their backpacks or in their lockers--including cough drops, Advil, etc. This is an important safety concern! Please review the policy included in the registration process.
If your student requires an inhaler, Epi-Pen, or any oral medication, please obtain the medication form and appropriate health care plan from your physician when your child has their exam. Forms may also be obtained on the district website.
Excused Physical Education Class:
Please note that all PE excuses need to be sent to the Nurse's Office. A parent may excuse a student from PE for up to 3 days. (consecutively) Thereafter, a Doctor's note is required.
Calls home from the Nurse:
Phone calls home are warranted in the event of a head injury, minor or major
All in school sickness including fever of 100.4 (oral) or greater, vomiting and/or diarrhea
Please prepare to keep your child home until:
Fever-free for a full 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.

Please refer to the General Health Guidelines which can be found on the district website

AR Reading Program
The Accelerated Reader (AR) program at DuJardin: Students in first-fifth grade can take AR tests on the books they read.
As students earn points, they can get rewards, including bookmarks, brag tags, and a chance to attend our special AR Night Out in January and the big End of Year Field Trip in May!
Mr. Pearlman will be going over the AR program during library with our First and Second grade students this coming week. Most books we have in the library are AR books and students can read the book and take a quiz to earn points. So, find a great book, get reading, and let's get those points!
Click here for more information about the AR program at DuJardin.
Please note: this is an optional reading incentive program.
