Principal's Update - 10/11/26
Dear Tiger Families,
We hope you are doing well and enjoying this fall season with your children! Please be reminded that there will be no school for students on Monday, October 12th. This is a teacher workday.
On Tuesday the 13th, our FACTS team will meet to plan out future events for families at AES. I know they'd welcome new faces who want to help! Childcare will be provided!
We hope our Military connected families will take advantage of the MCS Military Family Fair, hosted on Wednesday, October 14th at McDeed's Creek Elementary. Details are in the flyer below.
Our annual Literacy Trunk or Treat is planned for October 22nd from 5:00-6:30. See the flyer below for more information. If your business/organization would like to sponsor a trunk, we'd love to have you there! See the QR code on the flyer below.
Sincerely,
Bridget Johnson, Principal

Behavior Expectations
Tiger ROARS!!!!!
Our schoolwide expectations are clear, positively phrased, and outline how we behave in different locations across our school campus. When we are doing what is expected, we are able to stay safe and focus on learning!
When students are not meeting expectations, we have a positive plan in place to not only teach students what is expected, but also to support them in making better choices.
Thank you for your support as we teach and enforce our Tiger ROARS expectations!
School Hours
Here is the most important information about drop off and pick up times:
- Our school opens for students at 7:05 a.m. The school day begins at 7:30a.m. and ends at 2:30p.m.
- Students should arrive on campus in time to pick-up their breakfast and be seated, ready to learn by 7:30 a.m.
- Parents/guardians will need to join the carpool line if arriving after 2pm (no early pick ups allowed after 2pm).
- Students should be picked up from school no later than 2:45pm, when the carpool line is generally complete.
- After 2:45, parents will need to park and come in to the office to sign out their student. Any students remaining in the office after 3pm will be sent to Afterschool Care, with a $10 charge added to their fees account (afterschool care is located around the back of the school at the Cafeteria). After three Afterschool late fees have been added, an administrative staff member will reach out to schedule a parent problem solving conference.
