Kids Heart Challenge Kids Heart Challenge

Kids Heart Challenge is here! Our students are learning how to keep their hearts and brains healthy, and raising funds to help kids with special hearts.

We’re asking all families to sign up and complete Finn’s Mission, where they will learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. All students who sign up will receive a wristband.

Here’s how you can help:

  1. Sign Up Today or download the AHA Schools app.
  2. Complete Finn’s Mission: Share with family and friends through social media, text and/or email so they too can learn the warning signs of stroke and Hands-Only CPR.

Thank you for supporting our school and students in saving lives!

Chewing Gum Policy Chewing Gum Policy

Please see the information below from Ms. Qualls and Mrs. Schmuhl:

To keep our classroom clean, safe, and focused on learning, gum is not allowed at school. Gum can be distracting, messy, and difficult to clean from floors, desks, and furniture. If a student chooses to bring gum to school, it will be thrown away, and repeated incidents may result in additional consequences.

The good news? Gum is something you can look forward to in 6th grade! It’s one of the small privileges that comes with growing up and taking on more responsibility.

Thank you for helping keep our classroom clean and ready for learning!

Dismissal Reminders Dismissal Reminders

As the weather gets nicer and we all enjoy spending a little more time outside, we want to share a few friendly reminders about dismissal procedures to help keep everyone safe and our afternoons running smoothly:

  • All dismissal changes must go through the front office.

  • Changes must be communicated before 1:30 PM.

  • We cannot accept dismissal changes after 1:30 PM.

  • Students cannot be checked out after 2:30 PM.

  • If your child is a car rider, you must use the car line for pickup.

For the safety of students and staff, we cannot release students to parents who walk up. If you arrive on foot, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and go through the car line.

We appreciate your understanding and partnership in helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and smooth for everyone. Thank you!

Pinstack Field Trip, May 13 Pinstack Field Trip, May 13

A permission slip went home with your child to be signed for our fifth grade field trip to Pinstack on May 13th. Thank you to our PTO for funding the entire field trip for the students, so no payment is due. Please have this form signed and returned to your child's homeroom teacher no later than March 13th. If for some reason your child will not be able to attend, please email your child's homeroom teacher to let them know. There are no chaperones for this field trip.
