East Weekly
December 5, 2025
Good Afternoon,
We had a wonderful week back after the Thanksgiving break, and how fun for our students to kick it off with a snow day on Tuesday! Our teachers also enjoyed a little fun of their own with a “secret” spirit week to see if students would catch on. Many did! Monday was Monochromatic Monday, and most of our staff ended up in all black. On Wednesday we wore vests, Thursday was Twin Day, and Friday wrapped it all up with Dress Like a Teen/PJ Day… which, let’s be honest, are pretty similar! We had a blast celebrating together throughout the week.
Have a wonderful weekend.
8th grade families: please see the 8th grade update for important high school scheduling information.

Please remind your students about charging their chromebooks and bringing a pencil to classes. Thank you!
ELA: All 7th graders are reading their second or third books by their book club authors. Ask your students about their books–if they’ve read their pages for the day, if they like the second book better than the first, etc. You should expect to see them reading and jotting outside of school each night!
Math: Students have been working on proportional relationships and scale factors. They will take their Chapter 4 assessment next week!
SS: Students are acting as members of an Ancient Rome district and are trying to get a service project funded for their people. They will be creating a proposal and poster to try and convince the Senate to fund their project. Ask your student what their project is about!

Community Connections
We’re always looking for ways to connect classroom learning to the real world or allow students to explore the future—and we’d love your help! If you're open to sharing your job title and a brief description of what you do, we’d love to learn more. We’re gathering a list of parents and guardians who might be interested in speaking to students about their careers, allowing students to shadow for a day, or participating in a future career fair.
If this sounds like something you'd consider, please take a moment to fill out this quick google form. Thank you for helping our students dream big!
