ORES Newsletter
April 6, 2023
Dear Oak Ridge Families,
The 4th and 5th grade field trip cancelled due to bad weather will be rescheduled or an alternative educational field trip will be organized for these students. We only have 28 days of school until summer break. Teachers have been working hard to make sure we are using every minute of instructional time to the fullest potential. Fifth grade students have been building bridges in science as they learn about experiments. Our early childhood students have been working on skills to help them be kindergarten ready. If you see one of our fine teachers, please tell them thank you for working so hard to keep our hallways fun and inspirational. Enjoy the spring decorations they have worked on for our kids. Our staff also supported Autism Awareness this week with our shirts. Thank you Mrs. Reeves for organizing this for us!
Remember, third grade will have a day visit to Flickerwood farms on April 26th.
Please see the MAP testing schedule below and ensure students are present for testing. Students will be provided with a free breakfast during MAP testing.
Play day shirt order and other information will be sent home with students within the week. Watch for this information and get it back to school as soon as possible. PLEASE TURN IN PLAY DAY VOLUNTEER AND DONATION FORMS BY APRIL 14TH.
Don't forget to purchase your 22-23 yearbook!
We are winding down the year. Please pay lunch bills, before/after school care bills, early childhood bills, or any other fees as soon as possible.
Have a restful four day weekend with family!
Sincerely,
Sonia Wood
