It’s time to celebrate the end of the season and the end of the school year with our final Bite Night of the year!
Wednesday, May 27, we are heading to the DQ on Pines for our most popular Bite Night location.
Whether you’re coming from the final spring sports games of the season or just looking for a mid-week treat, we want to see the Horizon community out in full force!
The Details:
- Where: DQ on Pines (1221 N Pines Rd)
- When: Wednesday, May 27 6-8pm
- No Stress: No flyer or special code is necessary!
Why it Matters: DQ is generously donating 20% of ALL sales from all patrons during these two hours directly to the Horizon Middle School PTO. This is traditionally our biggest Bite Night of the year, and these funds go directly toward vital school programs that benefit our students.
Let’s pack the house, celebrate our student-athletes, and enjoy some burgers and Blizzards for a great cause.

Spring Sports
- Spring sports start Monday, April 13 and run from 3 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. through May 28.
- Practices will be Monday through Friday the first two weeks, and then Mondays through Thursdays for the remainder of the season.

PowerSchool & TouchBase Payments
25-26 TouchBase Update
The best way to access the payment system to make online purchases is now through your PowerSchool account. Once you sign into PowerSchool in an internet browser (this feature is not currently accessible in the app) on the left hand menu you will select "Purchases and Payments" and then complete your purchase as usual. You can:
- Pay for meals
- Pay for student breakfasts & lunches
- Check balances
- Pay middle school fees
- ASB Card
- Activity & athletic fees
- Club dues
- Yearbook
- Pay student fines
- General fines
- Library & textbook fines

CVSD & Community Flyers
Join CV’s first ever Summer Theatre Camp featuring Beetlejuice JR.!
Students will spend the summer singing, acting, and bringing this hilarious and spooky show to life while building confidence and stage skills.
- Who can join: Any student entering grades 6th - 12th grade in the Central Valley School District.
- Registration Due: June 1st
- Auditions: 6/11/26 5-8pm. (All student who register will be cast, this is just to determine role)
- Rehearsals: July 20th - 24th & 27th - 31st, 9am - 12pm M-F
- Performances: July 31st (7pm) & August 1st (2pm & 7pm)
*Each student will receive 2 complimentary tickets to any performance of the show, otherwise tickets will be $10 on GoFan and at the door.

Registration for CVVL’s credit advancement summer school is open.
This is open for any outgoing 8th graders that might want to take a class over the summer to get ahead a little before high school starts. If students are going to be gone between June 16 and July 10, we wouldn’t recommend it. But if they would like to take a math class, health or get a fitness class out of the way over the summer, this is a good opportunity to make that happen. 😊
Courses are fee based since there is no funding for summer school. Cost is below. It is based on their free and reduced lunch status.
Full pay lunch - $300
Reduced pay lunch - $240
Free lunch - $180
