Morning Drop-Off Procedures Morning Drop-Off Procedures

User uploaded image
zoom_out_map Show in original size

Morning drop-off procedures will remain largely the same as last year to help keep traffic flowing smoothly and prioritize student safety.

Traffic & Construction Updates

  • Harley Hughes Avenue: Following the recent sewer line project, we are patiently supporting the city as they work toward the future goal of paving Harley Hughes Avenue.

  • SE 1st Street (Bond Issue - Phase 3): Our team is finalizing outside dirt work and paving along SE 1st. We are aiming to complete this by the first day of school or shortly after.

  • Visitor Access: During morning drop-off, SE 1st Street is reserved strictly for visitors needing access to the Elementary Office.

Student Drop-Off Guidelines

To ensure a smooth routine, please follow these designated routes based on your student's grade level:

  • Elementary Drop-Off: All elementary students must be dropped off by the cafeteria.

    • Elementary traffic must enter from Highway 28 via Harley Hughes Avenue.

    • Important: Please do not drop off students in the southeast elementary parking lot.

  • Middle & High School Drop-Off: Drop off students near the Ag Building and MS/HS Library.

  • Buses Only: Buses will enter using the new road off Warrior Road.

  • Exit Notice: Please do not enter the South Event Center road from the west. This lane is strictly exit-only during morning drop-off hours.

A Note on Patience: Please watch for updated signage and staff directing traffic during the first few weeks. We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as our campus facilities continue to grow!

After-School Pick-Up Procedures After-School Pick-Up Procedures

After-school dismissal procedures will remain the same as last year.

  • Elementary Pick-Up: All elementary students will be picked up in the Southeast Elementary Parking Lot.

Please continue to watch for staff directing traffic and follow posted signs to ensure a safe and speedy dismissal for all students. Thank you for your cooperation!

Middle & High School Student Pickup Reminder

If a middle school or high school student has a sibling being picked up at the elementary school, they are allowed to walk to the elementary pickup area. These students should walk around the south end of the cafeteria and Bernita Hughes Elementary to safely reach the designated pickup location.

Please remind your student to use this route and avoid cutting through traffic areas. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and organized during dismissal!
