Dear Spring Lake Families,

April is an exciting and busy month at our school! This month marks our spring reading, math, and science testing for students. We ask that you please encourage your child to do their very best and support healthy habits at home—getting plenty of sleep, eating well, and arriving at school on time—so they feel confident and prepared each day. Your support makes a meaningful difference in helping students show what they know.

We are also thrilled to kick off our Book Blast on April 7th! This event helps all students grow their home libraries and build a love of reading. Every student will take at least one book home, and students who participate can earn even more high‑quality books to keep. Thank you for helping us put great books into the hands of our learners.

Finally, we invite you to join us for our biggest event of the year—STEAM Night! Families can enjoy hands-on science, math, art, and technology activities together, and we’re excited to have food available from Taqueria 84. It’s a wonderful evening to learn, explore, and connect as a school community.

Thank you for getting your students to school on time every day. Your commitment to your child’s education truly shows, and we are grateful to be partners with you. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to a great month ahead!

¡Abril es un mes emocionante y lleno de actividad en nuestra escuela! Este mes se llevarán a cabo las evaluaciones de lectura, matemáticas y ciencias para los estudiantes. Les pedimos que animen a sus hijos a dar lo mejor de sí y que refuercen hábitos saludables en casa—como dormir bien, alimentarse adecuadamente y llegar a la escuela a tiempo—para que se sientan seguros y preparados cada día. Su apoyo marca una gran diferencia para que los estudiantes puedan demostrar lo que saben.

También nos complace anunciar el inicio de nuestro Book Blast el 7 de abril. Este evento ayuda a todos los estudiantes a ampliar sus bibliotecas en casa y a fortalecer el amor por la lectura. Cada estudiante se llevará al menos un libro a casa, y quienes participen podrán ganar aún más libros de alta calidad para conservar. Gracias por ayudarnos a poner excelentes libros en manos de nuestros estudiantes.

Finalmente, los invitamos a nuestro evento más grande del año: la Noche STEAM. Las familias podrán disfrutar juntas de actividades prácticas de ciencia, matemáticas, arte y tecnología. Además, habrá comida disponible de Taquería 84. Será una maravillosa oportunidad para aprender, explorar y convivir como comunidad escolar.

Student safety is most important in and around Spring Lake. We know dismissal is a busy time of day with traffic. We ask you to be patient as we dismiss your children. Please follow the guidelines below to prevent accidents and keep children safe.

Pick up children only when parked along the curb. (Do not double park.)
If your child/children are not ready to be picked up, go around the block again. Staff will wait with your child. Do not block traffic to wait for your child.
Do not park on both sides of any street.
Do not park in the circle drive. This is for buses and parents with children in rooms 1 & 2 only.
Follow the proper direction for the streets that are marked "one-way."

La seguridad de los estudiantes es lo más importante en Spring Lake y sus alrededores. Sabemos que la hora de salida es un momento del día muy ajetreado en cuanto al tráfico. Les pedimos que tengan paciencia mientras realizamos la salida de sus hijos. Por favor, sigan las siguientes pautas para prevenir accidentes y mantener a los niños seguros:

Recojan a los niños únicamente cuando estén estacionados junto a la acera. (No se estacionen en doble fila).
Si su hijo o hijos aún no están listos para ser recogidos, den otra vuelta a la manzana. El personal esperará con su hijo. No obstaculicen el tráfico para esperar a su hijo.
No se estacionen en ambos lados de ninguna calle.
No se estacionen en la rotonda de acceso. Esta zona es exclusiva para autobuses y para padres con hijos en los salones 1 y 2.
Respeten el sentido correcto de circulación en las calles que estén señalizadas como de "un solo sentido".
