CSD Weekly Update

Listening to Learners at Willow Dale Elementary
This week, students from Willow Dale Elementary took part in engaging focus group session led by Dr. Lucabaugh. These conversations are part of a district-wide effort to amplify student voice and ensure their perspectives help shape the future of learning in Centennial.
ACADEMICS
Willow Dale's First Fire Safety Visit
Students were encouraged to go home and talk to their adults about their family's fire safety plan. The firemen dressed in their gear to show students not to fear them when they are dressed ready to fight a fire. What a great activity to kick off our Fire Prevention Unit. Thanks again for the community support, Hartsville Fire Company!
Davis Celebrates Students of the Month
Log College - 7th Grade Trip to the Renaissance Faire
Students, chaperones, and teachers from Log College had an amazing time at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. This interactive, hands-on field trip allowed students to experience life in a 16th-century English village. During our visit, students gained knowledge of medieval armor, witnessed the sport of falconry, and cheered their champion at the Tournament Jousts, all while interacting with nobles, knights, peasants, and of course, Queen Elizabeth.
PA Career Readiness & Climate/Culture Surveys
As a reminder, our PA Career Ready Survey will open on October 13 and run through October 24. This survey will help us to learn more about student experiences at school and about their PA Career Ready Skill Development.
The Climate & Culture Survey (November 12-26) will be open to students, families, and staff members to assess key aspects of school life including topics such as school climate and safety. More details about this will be shared closer to the survey window.
As a reminder, please notify us if you would like to opt your child out of taking either survey by completing this brief form by October 8, 2025 before 4:00 pm.
The survey data will help us identify effective school and district practices as well as gauge your child’s growth toward the PA Career Ready Skills. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 215-441-6000 X11026.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT eFOLDER
Each year, more and more people and organizations are turning to our District to help get the message out about various activities, events, fundraisers, etc. The intent of this process is to support student achievement and to provide mutual assistance and benefit through shared information. Our district spends a great deal of time collecting, reviewing, and posting flyers to the District eFolder. The District no longer is posting eFlyers to any social media outlets or the District cable channel. You may refer to Policy 913 for additional information.
