“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

Parents, your involvement makes all the difference! Every moment you spend encouraging your child—whether it’s checking homework, asking about their day, or celebrating their successes—helps build confidence and a love for learning. Together, we’re shaping bright futures. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

Why is Attendance Important? Why is Attendance Important?

Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in a child’s academic success. Each day of learning builds upon the last, and when students are present, they have more opportunities to engage, participate, and grow. Consistent attendance helps students develop positive routines, strengthen relationships with teachers and peers, and stay on track toward achieving their goals. Let’s work together to ensure every student is present, prepared, and ready to learn each day!

Behavior Expectations Reminder Behavior Expectations Reminder

Parents,

Please take a few moments to engage your students in a conversation about the importance of positive behavior within the classroom. Reinforcing our school-wide expectations—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready to Learn—is essential in maintaining a culture of excellence and mutual respect at The King.

Encourage students to reflect on what these expectations look like in action:

  • Be Respectful: Use kind words, listen actively, and treat others and their learning space with care.

  • Be Responsible: Come prepared, complete assignments on time, and take ownership of choices and actions.

  • Be Ready to Learn: Arrive focused, follow directions, and participate fully in classroom activities.

When we take the time to discuss and model these values, we empower students to make positive choices that enhance both their learning and the learning environment for others. Consistent reinforcement from all of us helps create classrooms where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best each day.

Thank you for your continued commitment to shaping respectful, responsible, and engaged learners.

At The King, the safety and well-being of every student and staff member is our top priority. A safe school environment is essential for learning, growth, and the development of positive relationships. School safety is a shared responsibility, and it begins with clear expectations, consistent routines, and open communication.

Students are encouraged to follow all safety procedures, including:

  • Following classroom and hallway rules

  • Participating in emergency drills seriously and attentively

  • Reporting any concerns or unsafe situations to a trusted adult

Staff play a critical role by modeling safe behaviors, supervising students consistently, and responding promptly to any incidents. Together, we create a secure and supportive environment where students feel confident, focused, and ready to learn.

We appreciate the partnership of parents and guardians in reinforcing safety expectations at home and encouraging students to take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. By working together, we can ensure that The King remains a safe, welcoming, and thriving community for everyone.
