Safely Picking Up Students After School

All drivers must wait in the car line until you reach the pick-up zone at the front of the building. Do not park in the main lot or in the new, southwest lot near the ELC. Students walking through traffic create safety concerns for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

8th Grade Recognition

Our Eighth Grade Recognition ceremony will be held at the Barrington High School Gymnasium at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Students must report to the gym by 6:30 PM.

Student dress for the occasion is business casual. Please be mindful that there is no air conditioning in the gym at BHS.

Each member of the Class of 2024 will be individually recognized.

Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. There will be no limit to the number of parents or relatives who may wish to attend the ceremony and no tickets are required.

Please make arrangements to meet your student outside on the plaza at the conclusion of the program. This will assist in an orderly recessional.

Parking will be in the main parking lot at Barrington High School which is accessible from Hart Road.

The event will be streamed live and the link can be found here.

Photos of this year's ceremony will be taken by Visual Image Photography (VIP). All images will be posted online to view and order about a week after the ceremony. You will receive an email when they are ready to view and order, or you can visit www.vipis.com.

See Something, Say Something

Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911. Please be aware that when a Safe2Help report is made which references suicide, self-harm or school safety building staff and/or local authorities will be contacted.

Safety 220

During an emergency situation at one of our schools, it is important for our community to work together. Barrington 220 has developed this tip sheet for parents/guardians, which shares specific actions parents/guardians should take in the event of an emergency.
