Dear Panther Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the final week of this school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've shared and to outline some important events and reminders for the days ahead.

First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff, whose unwavering commitment has made this year a success. To our students, your resilience and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring, and to our parents, your support has been invaluable.

Upcoming Events and Reminders:

8th Grade Celebration Ceremony

• We will celebrate our 8th Graders on Wednesday May 22nd at 9 AM in the gym. We invite all family members and friends to join us in honoring our 8th Graders.

Return of School Materials

• Students are reminded to return all textbooks, library books, and any borrowed school equipment by Thursday May 23rd.

Lost and Found

• Please check the lost and found located in the cafeteria for any missing items. All unclaimed items will be donated after the last day of school.

As we prepare to bid farewell to another school year, I encourage everyone to take pride in how far we've come and to look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. This year has taught us the power of community and the importance of perseverance, lessons that will serve us well in the future.

Thank you for being a part of our school family. Have a safe and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another fantastic year.

Warm regards,

• EHMS would like to make you aware of an important change the state of Texas has made to Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code regarding vapes. Under House Bill 114, A student must be placed in District Alternative Education placement DAEP if the student: Uses, Sells, gives, or delivers to another person or even possess a part of an e-cigarette or vape device. KISD has installed vape detectors at all high school campuses and we encourage you to speak with your student about this new law. Killeen ISD is a drug free zone and therefore any and alll drug related charges are automatically enhanced.

• All students should be in dress code. Tights, crop tops, jeans with holes higher than 6 inches, shorts/skirts higher than 6 inches and sagging is not allowed. Please see the attached Student Code of Conduct book for more info.
