Weekly Wolverine

Warren’s 4th grade students were selected to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) today. This nationwide assessment did not impact grades or placement, but helped inform education decisions at the national level.

All 4th graders enjoyed a pizza picnic in the pod, making the day a fun and positive experience. Pizza, chips, cookies, and drinks were provided by the PTO.

Warren was the only school in STOH ever selected for NAEP, and we are very proud of this opportunity and our AWESOME 4th graders!

Some students were lucky enough to meet Miss Murphee! Miss Murphee and her handler, Halie Gonlag, MSW, LSW, partner with our schools through the Highland Police Department. Ms. Gonlag is a police social worker, and K9 Murphee is the perfect companion to support students and staff. Miss Murphee is truly the sweetest and softest dog ever! She will continue visiting schools throughout Highland to meet, greet, and help in any way she can.

We are wrapping up Counselor Week, but around here we like to call it “Mrs. Pilewski Week!”

We had an AMAZING week celebrating the BEST school counselor in all the land!!

Mrs. Pilewski goes above and beyond every single day to support, encourage, and care for our students and we are so incredibly grateful for all that she does!
