Letter from Dr. Childress
Dear Cook Families,
What a fabulous week! We had a wonderful Cook Booster Club event at Jack's Skateland on Tuesday! We also had a fabulous Community Helper Touch a Truck Day today for pre-k and kindergarten! Our students and teachers are working super hard to reach their goals and plan for parent/teacher conferences next week! Students are tracking their data in data binders already this year, so we can't wait to see how much they grow by the end of this school year! As a school, we are working on applying for PLC Model School. Our Cook Guiding Coalition worked on that application yesterday after school. Our High Reliability Schools Team has been working on our HRS Level 3 application, and we are hoping to submit it by January! Mrs. Collyge's class and Mrs. Wilbanks's class won the Cook Booster Club Membership Drive and had a popcorn party last week, and Mrs. Shores's class won the Cook Booster Club Candy Bar Drive! All of the Elementary Principals will be visiting Cook Elementary next Tuesday to see the great teaching and learning we have in our classrooms! We are excited to show of our great school!
Sincerely,
Dr. Dawn Childress
