June 8, 2026 MTV Weekly Update
Week of June 8th - 12th
WE ARE INTO THE LAST 5 DAYS OF SCHOOL!
Remember that doors open at 8:30AM and school starts promptly at 9:00AM!
A SHOUT OUT to our 3rd & 4th grade track athletes who out lead the way to podium finishes in every event. MTV has the future track stars for Shelton High School. Way-to-Go!
PLEASE REMEMBER... Friday students are released at 10:30AM. It's a short day to before summer break.
Toward the bottom of this newsletter are a variety of calendar events. Please take a look so that you are up-to-date on the latest activities at Mountain View! Highlights for this week...
Shelton School District is looking for family members interested in service on the Instructional Materials Committee. You can find more information on how to apply HERE.
Do you have a student that will be in Kindergarten next year? It is time to get registered and sign up for Kindergarten jump start, which will be August 25th and 26th, 9AM - 11:30AM! REGISTER FOR JUMP START HERE!
As we look into our upcoming summer break, we want to remind everyone of the wonderful "choice boards" that our Librarian, Mrs. Ranney, has put together for our students. You can find them by going to Summer Reading Rewards. We challenge our students to improve their reading levels so that when they return, they are in the next level of books.
Please remember toys are to be kept at home as they become a distraction at school. If your student's teacher has a special event to allow stuffies or other items, they will let you know.
Pick Up and Drop Off. Please help us keep students and family safe. If you are doing curbside pick-up or drop-off, please do not let your students out until you have passed the crosswalk. We also encourage having your student in the passenger side of the car to support their safety as they exit the vehicle. If you are walking up to the school, please park your car in a parking space - do not park on the driveway or curb. This will help expedite student pick-up/drop-off and keep everyone safe in the rainy times that result in limited visibility.
CONFETTI FOCUS: We are finishing this month's focus on being a "RESPONSIBLE"!
