Congratulations, October Student of the Month!
Each month, Omro High School selects a senior as the Student of the Month based on scholarship, citizenship, leadership, and involvement in co-curricular activities. The Student of the Month for October is Erick. Students chosen for this honor are recognized not only for their academic success and leadership but also for their positive contributions to the school and community. In addition, each Student of the Month is invited to attend an American Legion meeting for special recognition by the sponsoring organization and may be considered for the honor of serving as a graduation speaker. Congratulations, Erick!

Congratulations, Students and Thank You to Eckstein Family!
Last week, our students raised $250 during Homecoming Week to benefit the Christine Ann Center through a penny war. The Lenny and Trudy Eckstein family has generously matched the funds raised by Omro High School students and contributed an additional amount in appreciation of the Freshman class’s inclusivity and kindness during their Homecoming Lip Sync and Ditties. Their total donation of $750 will be added to the students’ contribution. The Eckstein's shared that they hope this gesture encourages students to continue making a positive impact in their community.
If you would like to add to the Christine Ann Center donation as well, please feel free to drop off any donations to the main office this next week.
TOMORROW! 10/22- Wednesday Wear Orange For Unity!
October is Bullying Prevention month! Please wear Orange on Wednesday, October 22 in support of Kindness, Acceptance and Inclusion!
What is Bullying?
Bullying is repeated, intentional behavior meant to harm, intimidate, or humiliate someone who has less power—whether physical, social, or emotional. It can take many forms, including physical, verbal, social, or online (cyberbullying). In contrast, not all unkind acts are bullying. A single argument, accidental harm, or friendly teasing between equals is not bullying, though it can still be hurtful and should be addressed. Unity Day, observed each October, is a time to come together against bullying by wearing orange to show kindness, acceptance, and inclusion—and to remind everyone that even small acts of respect help create a safe and supportive community for all.
So what is Unity Day?
"Unity Every Day": This complementary theme emphasizes that the principles of Unity Day—kindness, acceptance, and inclusion—should be practiced every day, not just on the designated day. Unity Day will be taking place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the signature event encourages participants to wear and share the color orange to send a visible message against bullying.
Senior Cap and Gown Meeting Wednesday, October 22
Seniors will be meeting with a representative from Jostens regarding ordering their caps and gowns. Students will be able to bring home an order form for you to review. The representative will return on Friday, October 31 and orders will be taken during both lunches that day.
Lost and Found-Check It Out!!
Just a reminder to check the Lost and Found table by the main office for anything that might belong to you THIS WEEK! As in the past, at the end of the Quarter (this FRIDAY) any and all items left behind will be cleared off and donated!
Lock Your Lockers
Students, please LOCK your lockers and LEARN your combinations instead of just rigging it open all year. Anyone can go into your locker if it is open and take items from you. The school is not responsible if things go missing from your unlocked locker.
Parking Lot Expectations!
Recently, there have been growing concerns about students driving recklessly and at unsafe speeds in the school parking lot. This behavior puts everyone at risk—drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and staff. The parking lot is a shared space where safety must come before convenience or showing off. Speeding, cutting through spaces, and driving on access roads are unacceptable and may result in a loss of parking privileges. All students are expected to drive responsibly, follow appropriate speed limits and remain aware of their surroundings at all times.
Veterans Day Poetry Contest
Any high schooler who wants to create a poem to be read at our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11, must submit their poem to Mrs. Miller by October 31.

Please fill out a form so we can celebrate our students and staff this week!!! PLEASE NOTE: We expect these to be sincere and genuine, not silly. Student Video Contest!
My name is Franki Moscato (girl, 23, Oshkosh). I am “that Wisconsin girl” who won a Gold Ticket on ABC’s American Idol. Perhaps you’ve seen me sing the Anthem for the Packers (5), Bucks (7), NASCAR (1), or Whitehouse (2). I am writing to ask you for help communicating a project I am working on to fight teen suicide.
My story includes being bullied out of two schools and finding myself in a dark place. Today, I use my platform and my non-profit, Franki Moscato Foundation, to advocate for teen suicide prevention.
I am inviting Wisconsin students in grades 6-12 to make a 60-second video about being kind, anti-bullying, or somehow preventing teen suicide. See my contest here: http://BeKindContest.com
Video submissions are due by November 1st. We have to hurry! The winning video will be professionally produced and broadcast as a televised Public Service Announcement across Wisconsin. The kids and adults who worked on the project will be invited to be cast in the production spot, and the author’s parents will win a FunJet vacation to the Dominican Republic!
