Dear KRS families,

Thank you for attending your child's parent/teacher conference. We greatly appreciate your partnership! Great thanks to the KRS PTO for providing the students with another bountiful and fun book fair!

International Week is next week! KRS teacher Miss Bihuniak is the coordinator of this special week. International Week is a week when we will celebrate the diversity of cultures and nationalities making up the KRS community. It is a wonderful opportunity for families to display and share their culture with the school community in a celebration of internationalism and intercultural awareness. We are looking forward to April 26, 2024, when volunteer KRS families will present to students about a variety of countries.

Green Week is next week too! The Green activities for the week are included in this newsletter.

Wednesday, April 24, 2024 is a very special night! The Meet the Masters Art Show will take place in the multi-purpose room beginning at 6:00 PM. The Reading Night is from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and will take place in rooms throughout the school. When you arrive, please make sure to visit the check-in table in the school lobby before beginning the special evening. We are encouraging everyone to wear school appropriate pajamas!

We want to let you all in on what we have found in the Autism community, so that you can help us spread the word!

  • One thing that we have found is that we should really be calling April Autism Acceptance Month. It is time to move forward from being β€œaware” of autistic individuals and move towards accepting them. We will now be celebrating Autism ACCEPTANCE Month in April along with the autism community! We hope you will join us.
