MTSS Weekly Updates
Week of 10/26/26
iReady
iReady Personalized Instruction
Personalized Instruction is the individualized learning path i-Ready builds for each student based on their i-Ready Inform results. We also call Personalized Instruction βMyPathβ (grades K-5) and βi-Ready Proβ (grades 6-12). Personalized Instruction is delivered with fidelity when usage and pass rates meet recommended guidance. Teachers and school leaders should monitor this using the Personalized Instruction Report in iReady.
Usage: Students should have 30-49 minutes per week, per content (ELA and Math).
Pass rate: Students should aim for a pass rate of 70% or better YTD.
Join Melanie Nelson, Curriculum Associates PL Specialist, on November 2 at 4 p.m. for office hours if you need support with personalized instruction.
Monitoring Personalized Instruction
Please be sure that teachers are monitoring personalized instruction progress. If a student's domain has been turned off, the teacher should be expected to meet with the student individually or in small group to support the student with misconceptions before turning the domain back on. Domains should not remain turned off as this does limit access.
Resources for Small Groups
The iReady Teacher Toolbox has lessons for enrichment, remediation, and intervention. This resource is an excellent way to push students to the next level, close gaps, and/or provide additional practice opportunities. Please take a look at the grouping reports to find appropriate resources for ALL learners that can be used during the intervention period each day. If you have questions about the reports, please reach out to RTI2@scsk12.org.
Reading Horizons
Monitoring Usage and Skill Checks
Don't forget to have your students to complete the skill checks in Reading Horizons once you finish the lesson. The skill checks support you with reteaching and moving the learner forward with additional practice opportunities on the next skill. The RTI2A Team will be messaging MTSS Leads as we monitor usage and skill check progress.
Shout Out to Hamilton High-Jennifer Hinton
Shout out to Hamilton High School Lead Jennifer Hinton for her use of Reading Horizons with her students! Shatamara was able to catch students in action during her visit last week. Are your Elevate students engaged in Extended Transfer?
Pearson aimswebPlus
Expired Schedules
Recently we have had a number of people share that they cannot locate students within Pearson aimswebPlus for progress monitoring. Before emailing, check to see if the schedule has expired by changing the inactive toggle. From here, you should see the student and be able to adjust the progress monitoring schedule. If further assistance is needed, please email RTI2@scsk12.org.
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month
Characteristics of Dyslexia vs. Specific Learning Disability-Basic Reading
Be sure to listen to the video clip in the TDOE Characteristics of Dyslexia On Target for Success folder to learn the differences and become more comfortable in explaining the differences when asked.
