🌰 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear MGES Families,
As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to our entire school community.
First, thank you for your generous donations during our Thanksgiving food drive. Your kindness and willingness to support others will go a long way in meeting the needs of families in our local community. Your compassion truly reflects the spirit of the season.
During this time of reflection and gratitude, I’d also like to share how thankful I am to work alongside such a talented, dedicated, and hardworking group of educators. Each day, I see their passion for teaching and their commitment to helping every child succeed.
I am incredibly grateful to be part of your children’s educational journey and to witness their growth, curiosity, and progress each day. It is a privilege to learn with them and cheer them on.
Finally, I want to express my appreciation for the ongoing partnership of our parents, guardians, and PTO. Your support, collaboration, and engagement make a meaningful difference in the work we do and the experiences we create for our students.
On behalf of our scurry, I wish you and your family a warm, joyful, and restful Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you for being an essential part of our MGES community.
Warmest regards,
Mr. Perez

đź’ˇHIGHLIGHTS FROM THE GLEN
Liberty DeVitto
Music legend Liberty DeVitto visited Maple Glen Elementary and Thomas Fitzwater Elementary this week, bringing an unforgettable experience to our students. Liberty shared stories from his remarkable journey as the longtime drummer for Billy Joel, highlighting the triumphs, challenges, and lessons learned throughout his career. His message about perseverance, creativity, and following your passion resonated deeply with our young musicians and aspiring artists.
A big shout-out to Mr. Kennedy for organizing this incredible opportunity and to our Maple Glen PTO for generously sponsoring the event. It was truly a day to remember!
MGES Macy's Day Balloon Parade
Students in Ms. Toth, Mrs. Winters, and Mrs. Stianchi’s classrooms have been hard at work preparing for our annual Maple Glen Macy’s Day Balloon Parade. These creative scholars designed and built their own balloon floats, developed a colorful NYC-inspired backdrop, programmed robots to guide the parade route, and even constructed detailed miniature models of city landmarks. Their collaboration, problem-solving, and imagination truly brought this project-based learning activity to life. We can’t wait to share the final video of the parade with our MGES community. Look for it sometime next week!
