School Spirit Week - Next Week!
Our Student Ambassadors have planned a fun week for all of us and we’re excited to celebrate School Spirit Week with our Cedar Island community!
As part of the fun, students will have the option to dress up all week long. Please note the following guidelines to help the week go smoothly:
- Participating in Spirit Week dress-up days is completely optional.
- Spirit week gear/attire must be put on at home before coming to school. Teachers will not be helping students change into Spirit Week gear once they arrive at school.
- For safety and comfort, please do not send Spirit Week-themed clothing or accessories that includes masks, face coverings, weapons, or anything that depicts violence. If attire contains any of these items, or anything that is not school-appropriate, the student will remove the item or be sent home for a change of clothes.
- Spirit week gear must allow students to sit comfortably at their desks and participate in regular school activities throughout the day, including Phy. Ed.
Our goal is to make this a fun and inclusive week for all students, whether they choose to participate in Spirit Week or not. Thursday’s all-school assembly will be a big part of that. Thank you for helping us keep the celebration positive, safe, and full of school spirit!

Birthday Celebrations at School...
Birthdays are such a special time, and we love celebrating our students! Each classroom recognizes birthdays in their own way, students’ names are announced during morning announcements, and every birthday student receives a small prize from the office.
Please note that birthday treats from home—both food and non-food items (such as goodie bags, toys, or trinkets)—are not allowed at school. We have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies, and family preferences, and we want to make sure every student feels safe and included.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep birthday celebrations simple, fun, and inclusive for all!
