Staff Shoutouts

Can not thank everyone for all that they do but I want to take time for a few shoutouts!

  • Zach Kubik, Tanner Kuhn & Johnathon Riggs - Thank you to these staff members for their dedication throughout the season for our boys on the gridiron. Not where we wanted to end but the foundation is built to continue to grow! Also, thank you to our community coaches who helped out throughout the season as well!

  • Carrie Hansen - Thank you for all of your dedication to our JH and HS choir/band programs! They continue to grow and we appreciate all the work you put into the year with competitions and supporting our activities by playing pep band!

  • Brian Evans - Thank you for your dedication to our K-6 Music sections! Some days it may seem like herding cats but you are doing an amazing job at preparing our students for great things ahead! They are learning many musical traits while also showing the appreciation that music needs.

End of the Year for FB

The 2021 Football season came to a close last Thursday night with a Husky victory over East Butler. Unfortunately, the win wasn't enough to get SRC in the playoffs. The Huskies finished the year with a 2-6 record.

Message from Mr. Tejkl

“Be Patient"

Good morning!

A little raining and a bit breezy but I hope everyone can take advantage of being indoors and getting a little family/relaxation time in? Hard ask some days but goals are always good :). I hope every has had a great weekend and hope your Sunday is even better! Thank you to everyone who came out to the trunk or treat and special thanks to all of those who supplied the trunks! Shoutout to the public library and Pinnacle Bank for putting an a wonderful event for our communities! Looking forward to the next great thing that will be going on in our communities!

As we move into the changing of the seasons transitioning from fall weather to winter, so can come the change of our mindset. As weather becomes gloomy or colder, so can our attitudes. We may become a bit shorter and our patience may run out a little faster. In the end, we have the power to control our attitude, energy and effort. With that, keep in mind the quote of the week to continue to be patient.

  • Before you talk, listen - continue to be there for others and listen to all aspects before contributing your own.
  • Before you react, think - we can be quick to react and try to jump in or point out; think and breathe first before jumping in.
  • Before you criticize, wait - many factors can effect others; make sure you know all the details before going in.
  • Before you pray, forgive - continue to look out for others and forgive those who may have done wrong.
  • Before you quit, try! - When given an opportunity, don't question how you can do it; jump in and see what happens!

In the end, we have the power to make our lives and those around us better with how we treat and interact each day. With great power comes great responsibility! (thanks Spiderman).

Have a great Sunday and let's have a great week!

Quote of the week to make you think:

"Before you talk, listen. Before you react, think. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit. try!"

- William Arthur Ward

Sincerely,

Tucker Tejkl
