2nd Grade Nature Walk
Our second-grade class embarked on a nature walk to engage all five of their senses as part of a writing assignment. Students observed the vibrant colors of the grass, listened to the rustling of the wind, felt the textures of items outside, inhaled the fresh scents of nature and the not so plesent smell of the trash, and even noted the sounds of birds chirping.
Ag Class
The Ag II class is continuing their sustainability unit. This week we have been learning about wheat production and bread making. Today, they spent time grinding Einkorn wheat kernels into flour which they will use to make bread next week.

Safety Day
On Friday, our elementary students participated in our annual Safety Day, where they gained valuable insights into the roles of first responders. The event featured a hands-on experience with various activities:
- Ambulance Tour: Students explored the interior of an ambulance, learning about the equipment and medical tools used by paramedics.
- Firefighter Interaction: They had the opportunity to speak with our local firefighters and paramedics, who shared important information about fire safety and emergency response.
- Crosswalk Safety Practice: Students practiced safe crossing techniques, emphasizing the importance of following traffic rules.
This year, we also introduced a bus safety and evacuation drill, teaching students how to safely exit a bus in case of an emergency.
A heartfelt thank you to our first responders, transportation director, team for their dedication and support in making this event a success!
