A Message from Ms. Peterson

Greetings Families!

Last week, MCP3 had our first Poetry Showcase Assembly. Each classroom learned a nursery rhyme and performed for MCP3. I was blown away by their enthusiasm, transitions, and audience skills. Our MCP3 scholars are amazing and are going to be so ready for K4!

This morning, Representative Haywood visited MCP3 and MCP- North and held a listening session with parents. Shout out to all of the parents that came and participated. He had positive things to say about our program when he visited.

This week we are celebrating Children's Book Week with various activities to promote a love of reading and books! Check out the Reading Challenge Below to get entered into a raffle to win a Gift Card to Darick Books. Read more information about Darick Spears and his work/bookstore here. Darick will be visiting MCP3 on Friday to share his passion for writing books and reading one of his stories to our scholars.

Here are a few important items:

  • Save the Date- MCP3 Completion Ceremony will be on Monday, June 12th @ 10:00. More details to come in the upcoming weeks.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week- May 8th-May 11th we will be recognizing and celebrating our teachers! Here are some great ways that you can also show appreciation: thank you notes, small treats, coffee/favorite drink, a flower, a special text, a hug, a $5 gift card to their favorite store, etc.

  • Invoices- will be sent home today. Please make arrangements with Ms. Perine if you have a balance or make your payment online.

  • Uniforms- Scholars should come to school in their full uniform. MCP3 T-shirt, navy blue bottoms and closed toed shoes.

  • Change of clothes- Please make sure your child has an extra change of clothes here at school in the event that they have an accident. If your child borrowed any MCP clothes please return them. If you have any extra or gently used 3T, 4T, 4/5, 5/6 sized pants please consider donating them to MCP3 at our main office.

  • MCP3 is enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year! Spread the word to your friends and families and share your experience.

With Love and Respect,
