Principal's Weekly Update

As the weather gets warmer, we want to remind families of a few important school policies. Please ensure your student is dressed appropriately for school. Lightweight, breathable clothing is fine, but all attire should follow our dress code guidelines to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.

As a reminder students are not allowed to use their cell phones during school hours. If they need to use the phone they can come to the front office to call home. Cell phones should remain stored away to minimize distractions.

Finally, being on time to class is essential for learning and classroom routines, so please remind your students to arrive promptly to avoid missing important instruction.

⚽Soccer

Soccer teams are practicing for their first match on Tuesday Marth 17th against Grange. This will be our first home game with the new field. Please look in the soccer parentsquare for updates from the coach and the practice schedule.

We will also have a home game against Green Valley on March 19th. Girls games starts at 4:00PM and Boys at 5:00PM.

If you would like to attend the soccer games students MUST have their school ID to enter all games - no exceptions. Only students from BGW and the opposing team will be allowed entry.

Cheer Tryouts will be April 13-17th. A physical is NOT required to participate in tryouts. If you have any questions please reach out to Coach Kennedy at KennedyA@fsusd.org.

The PTO will be giving out FREE otter pops to students after school on Wednesday, March 18 to celebrate the warm weather and provide a sweet treat for pushing through MAP testing!

🪩8TH GRADE Promotion and Dinner Dance

Dinner menu poll:

Dinner in included in the ticket cost for the event, but we need to let the venue know which one of their six menu options to serve. We are soliciting student input for this, so please remind your student to vote via the poll they will receive access to in their Google Classroom!

Ticket sales:

Regular ticket sales for the “A Night in Paradise,” the 8th Grade Dinner/Dance, begin Monday, March 16! The $65 cost can be paid via cash, CashApp, or Venmo and includes a sit-down dinner, soft drinks, desserts, entertainment, music, dancing, and gift basket giveaways. The event itself will be held at the Paradise Valley Clubhouse (3950 Paradise Valley Drive, Fairfield, CA 94533) on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 5-9 PM. Students must have an event permission form signed/submitted by parent or guardian in addition to a paid ticket to attend. The online permission form is open now, or paper permission forms can be picked up on campus. Cash payments and paper permission forms should be placed in an envelope with the student’s name and “8th grade dance” and turned into the PTO drop box just inside the main office. All payments and permission forms are due by Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

La venta regular de boletos para “Una Noche en el Paraíso,” la cena y baile de 8.º grado, comienza el lunes 16 de marzo. El costo es de $65 y se puede pagar en efectivo, CashApp, or Venmo. El boleto incluye cena servida en mesa, bebidas sin alcohol, postres, entretenimiento, música, baile y rifas de canastas de regalo. El evento será en Paradise Valley Clubhouse (3950 Paradise Valley Drive, Fairfield, CA 94533) el sábado 30 de mayo de 2026 de 5:00 a 9:00 p.m. Para asistir, los estudiantes deben tener boleto pagado y un formulario de permiso firmado por un padre, madre o tutor. El formulario en línea ya está disponible, o pueden recoger una copia en papel en la escuela.
