Santa Shop

Santa Shop will be open throughout the week for students to shop. Parents are encouraged to shop with their child during our Cookies with Santa event on Thursday evening.

Countdown to Winter Break

December is here and we have only 15 school days until winter break - that's a short 3 weeks! It's a serious time of mid-year assessments but we want to have fun as well. We welcome you to join us for the 12 days of holiday cheer that begins on Thursday as we count down the 12 days until winter break. Participate in one or all of the days with us!

As we plan for events to round out the end of the year, remember that any visitors to our building during the school day must present a driver's license or photo ID at the front doors for entry and front desk to sign in. This includes end of year award ceremonies.

We hate having to turn family away from awards ceremonies and other family events during the school day, but student safety is our first priority.

Photos of the Week Photos of the Week

Students in Ms. Moore and Ms. Utley's classes had a tactile artist visit the classroom. Victoria Christensen is a teacher for the visually impaired as well as being an artist. She taught students about Braille and how to weave on a board using looms and base yarn. They did an amazing job and will showcase their finished products at our school celebration next Friday!

Ms. Utley's students are studying, analyzing and gathering data in order to answer the guiding question: How can a river change shape over time? We began by looking at the Ucayali River in South America, which has drastically changed shape over the last 30 years. To help us better understand this phenomenon, students are building river models and then will conduct tests later this week. See the attached pictures to see how the building is going so far!
