As shown in these screenshots, Our website looks completely different to Katy Perry’s and also Rihanna’s as we have tried our best to make it look as professional as theirs. We faced many difficulties trying to conform our current website to our artist inspirations website due to the fact that they used a better software to create their website as many effects and layouts are available, whereas Wix only allows certain amount of layouts to be used. Me and my partner both expected the website to be vibrant and colourful, however after doing some research on existing website, we found out that websites are mostly simple with straightforward layouts, colour schemes and themes. In similarity to Katy Perry’s website, we have also situated the artist image behind the tabs and layers in black and white, a feature that we thought was most appropriate for direct gaze and to easily draw attention onto the star. Katy Perry’s navigation bar uses triangles which link directly to the theme and name of her album Prism. However, our navigation bar subverted away from this and we managed to stick to the simple theme of just placing it at the top due to the fact that everything else on the image is bold and vibrant. This remains consistent throughout all the pages. We have also conformed in the way media convergence being used such as the social networking sites along the top of the website which allows the audience to access and get updates of the artist.
