Eggert Updates 11/21/25

Dear Eggert Families,

We have had a wonderful couple of weeks here at Eggert! Thank you to all of the families who helped us honor and celebrate our veterans. Whether you sent in photographs for our Honor Wall, donated items for our Veteran’s Breakfast, or attended our assembly—our largest gathering of the year—your support helped make this meaningful event truly special for our students and military community.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to express how grateful we are for the strong partnership we share with our families. Eggert is a place where students learn, grow, and shine because of the love, encouragement, and collaboration that surround them each day.

This week brought many reasons to celebrate!

Our Kindergarten students shared their voices and their big hearts during their Friendship Chorus Concert—a joyful reminder of the kindness and connection we foster at Eggert.
Our 5th graders and students in Mrs. Funigiello’s class enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to the science museum. Their day was filled with exploration, hands-on learning, and lots of smiles!

As we head into the holiday season, we are reminded once again of how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring, supportive school community. We are truly grateful for our students, families, and staff. Each of you helps make Eggert Elementary a very special place.

Wishing you and your family a warm, restful, and Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to congratulate our beloved Miss Hall as she moves into the Ellicott Elementary Principalship! We know you will continue to do great things for Orchard Park students and families!!! We are thrilled to have you leading our sister school and know that you will visit whenever you are at Eggert.

With appreciation,
Dr. Szczesniak & Miss Hall

Dear Families,

We are thankful for you!

As we prepare to take time off from school November 26th through November 30th for the Thanksgiving break, we want to share our gratitude for everyone in our school community. Your partnership makes it possible for students to come to school every day, on time and ready to learn.

Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to connect with peers and teachers, and to grow personally, socially and academically.

We are thankful for:

· Our students and their families who show up to school regularly, even when it isn’t easy.

· Our staff who go above and beyond to help make school a welcoming learning environment and help us stay safe, connected and excited about learning.

· Our many healers and helpers from support staff and volunteers who provide the extra hands and attention our students need.

We appreciate each one of you. If your family or your child needs support, please reach out to your child's building.

We are grateful for everyone’s efforts to avoid taking extra days off during this holiday season. We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on Monday, December 1st.

Thank you for partnering with us!
