Non-Perishable Food Drive
Thank You for Supporting Our Food Drive!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our Non-Perishable Food Drive. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for families in need this season, and we truly appreciate your kindness and support.
A special thank you goes to Dinora Duarte for organizing this effort with such care and dedication. Her leadership helped make this drive a success, and we are grateful for her commitment to our community.
Thank you, Lincoln families, for always showing up for one another.
Lions Leading
Culturally Responsive Teaching
I want to highlight the work happening in Mrs. Moe’s math class, where students used an illustrated Frayer Model to break down the Tier 3 vocabulary term “dependent variable.” The Frayer Model is a culturally responsive strategy because it invites students to construct their own meaning, represent ideas visually, and bring their experiences and ways of knowing into the learning.
By exploring definitions, characteristics, examples, and non-examples, students accessed the math language from multiple entry points—empowering all learners, especially our multilingual students, to deeply understand and use academic vocabulary.
Reflection Results
Congratulations!
We are proud to share that several Lincoln Middle School students were recognized in this year’s PTA Reflections Art Program, which celebrates creativity in visual arts, literature, photography, and film production. Our Award of Excellence winners will now advance to the Council level to be judged alongside submissions from across SMMUSD.
Congratulations to all of our student artists** for their hard work, creativity, and dedication. We are incredibly proud of the strong participation and high-quality entries submitted this year.
All participants will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2026, where they will receive lunch, a certificate of recognition, and a chance to view this year’s submissions.
Thank you, families, for encouraging your children to express themselves through the arts and for supporting their creative growth.
