- City VB Tournament @ 3:45 @ FT
After school Tuesday, Frontier Trail will be hosting a 7th Grade Volleyball Tournament. This is not a game, it is a long tournament. This tournament has historically occurred on a Saturday morning, but it is on a school night this year and is predicted to last until about 8pm. Teams from several schools will be at FT, filling the gyms, and seating will be limited. FT will NOT play first in the tournament. It is recommended that students go home after school and a parent should accompany them if they return to FT. We predict FT will play at approximately 4:45. Thank you for your understanding.

October 14 Learning Celebration
In keeping with the tradition at Frontier Trail, students will take part in a Learning Celebration at the end of 1st quarter. This event will occur on Wednesday, October 14. Throughout the morning half-day, students will partake in a Pep Assembly at 9:00 and enjoy fun rotations with their grade. Dismissal is at 11:35, no lunch will be served. Students should still bring backpacks and devices on this half day.
The purpose of the celebration is to recognize hard work, encourage students to take ownership of their learning, and promote respectful behavior as we wrap up Quarter 1. Students with missing work may miss part of the Learning Celebration to focus on wrapping up Quarter 1. Parents are encouraged to monitor their childโs progress in ParentVue and reach out to teachers as needed. We are excited for this celebration and thank you for your continued support. FT is a great place to be!
Middle School Semester Grades
Olathe Public Schools made districtwide gradebook updates for middle schools over the summer to better align grading throughout each semester. Student grades will no longer reset at the end of the first and third quarters. Instead, Quarter 1 grades will roll forward into Quarter 2 to create the Semester 1 grade, and Quarter 3 grades will roll forward into Quarter 4 to create the Semester 2 grade. This change provides a more complete picture of student progress at the end of each semester and prepares our students for high school. Feel free to reach out with questions.

Lost and Found
Dear Parents,
Please encourage your students to check the Lost & Found table near the commons for any missing belongings. We have a large collection of lunch boxes, water bottles, hoodies, and more!
All unclaimed items will be donated immediately following parent-teacher conferences.
Away Game Reminders
As our students attend athletic events and activities at other schools, we want to remind them that they are representing not only themselves, but also their school and our district. Students are expected to demonstrate respectful, responsible behavior throughout the event, including following the host schoolโs expectations, treating others with kindness, and leaving the facility and surrounding areas clean.
Parents/guardians, please make arrangements to pick up your student promptly at the designated dismissal time. Students should be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. Timely pickup helps us ensure that students are safely supervised and allows our staff to complete their responsibilities at the end of the event.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students be great representatives of our school, both at home and when we are guests at another school!
Middle School Wrestling Opportunity
The Olathe East High School Wrestling Program would like to invite any middle school students (Boys and Girls) grades 6-8 to participate in a three-week middle school wrestling program at Olathe East High School. More information is included in the attached flyer.
