Character Trait of the Month
Fairness
Students strive to be fair and just in all their actions.
Key Beliefs:
I will be a better student if I act on the following beliefs:
- People deserve to be treated fairly in all situations.
- There is a need to have pre-established rules that are consistently applied.
- Having a clear system for making decisions promotes fairness.
- I should treat all people equitably based on their merits and abilities.
- I must understand the different perspectives that others have when determining what is fair.

Tuffree Orientation
I’d like to invite you to two different opportunities to familiarize yourself with Tuffree Middle School and all we have to offer. The first will be our 6th Grade Parent Information Meeting on Tuesday, February 24th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Tuffree Middle School Multi-purpose Room. More specific information on that can be found below. I’d also like to invite you to attend our Open House on Tuesday, April 21st from 6:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a PTA Association meeting in the quad at 5:45pm. Feel free to attend with the family and get an up close peek at what makes Tuffree Middle School great.
Sixth Grade Student Orientation: Transition from elementary school to middle school is an exciting educational step for your student. As a first step to supporting this transition, 6th graders (who currently attend one of our feeder elementary schools) will be coming to our campus on Tuesday, February 24th from 9:00am-11:30am as a field trip. We want our new students to actually see and feel what it’s like to be a middle schooler. Your student will take a tour of the campus, learn what a typical day in middle school will look like, find out what elective opportunities are available, learn how to register for classes, and see what to expect in middle school. We will give your student an opportunity to meet current student leaders and to ask questions in small student groups.
Sixth Grade Parent Information Meeting: The evening of February 24th, families will receive a parent version of the student presentation from earlier in the day. This presentation will also be emailed to all families. Included in this presentation is the fall 2025 registration process, including instructions on how to register for classes in Aeries.
We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events! We are excited to welcome you and your students to the Tuffree Family!
Enthusiastically,
Sarah Barton, Principal

6th Grade Science Camp
Camp Store
Here is the link to pre-order camp gear. Pali Store We do encourage ordering in advance, we just started offering extended “Cycbermonday15” to receive 15% off in store when ordering in advance of their trip.
TIPS for Students & Parents....
Make sure your students can only pack what they can carry! They will need to be able to carry their own luggage from the bus to their assigned cabins.
Bedding/Sleeping Bags & Pillows should be placed in trash bags that are labeled with School Name & Student Name. During inclement weather arrival or departure days, bags do spend a short period of time outside and this method ensures everything stays dry and with the correct student group!
Don't bring anything super sentimental - it breaks our hearts when their favorite stuffy from Grandma Jane goes missing.
No Snacks! With our location in the National Forest, we avoid bringing food into cabins which helps us keeps critters outdoors. The Pali dining hall will be stocked with easy to grab & go snacks (apples, bananas, and oranges).
Camp Meeting
If you were unable to attend the 6th Grade Camp Parent Information Meeting on 12/4/25, or if you would simply like to revisit the information, the recording is available below.
We have also attached the Pali Parent eBook, which provides many of the details reviewed during the meeting.
