Summer Happenings

Hello Hamilton Community,

I hope you have been soaking up the sun and enjoying the time off from the busy school year. Over at Hamilton we have been busy getting the building ready for some big changes. Classroom moves, construction of our modular classrooms, new CEP classrooms, and hiring staff to strengthen our community. The office has been working on revitalizing our PBIS initiative as well as addressing the changing needs of social emotional learning within the building. We are excited to be going into the 2025-2026 school year through honoring the existing culture of Hamilton, but also addressing the changing needs of the building.

If you need to get in touch with someone during the summer, please reach out via phone (8:30am-1:30pm) or by emailing ashley.panetta@weymouthps.org or secretary Beth Tevenan at beth.tevenan@weymouthps.org.

The office will be closed 7/28-7/30 due to floor waxing and we will only be available via email at that time.

School Council School Council

Community Members Needed

There are many opportunities for Hamilton parents, caregivers, and community members to get involved throughout the year from volunteering, attending events, and participating in parent council. What makes School Council different is it is for parents, staff, and community members to come together and really dig deeper into the goals and progress of Hamilton in relation to the overall district.

We are looking for parents or community members (maybe your student has moved onto Chapman or WHS?) to join our school council. We will meet 3-4 times during the year and review school data, review progress towards our School Improvement Plan and brainstorm solutions to issues that may impact Hamilton and beyond. The work we do as a group will go directly to the School Committee via our yearly presentation.

Please email Mrs. Panetta if you are interested in joining this group, which meets after school in the fall, winter, and spring with an option to be virtual if needed. I would love to get some new voices in the conversation and look forward to working with our returning and new families.

Parent Council Parent Council

A large part of what makes our school community such a great place to be is the strong Parent Council organization. This is for every Hamilton parent to get involved in, whether on a small or large scale, working to bring experiences for our students that go above and beyond general school offerings.

Please consider lending a hand to this dedicated organization.

Monthly meetings are held via Zoom. Please join us whenever it fits in your schedule. No need to even turn your camera on! Each meeting we will discuss ongoing initiatives and upcoming events.

Our Parent Council President, Nicole Jones and soon to be Meri Hannon, can be contacted at twhpc1@gmail.com or on Facebook
