Incoming kindergarten students had the opportunity to "sign up" for kindergarten at our annual Open House night.

2nd graders enjoyed viewing the eclipse with their teachers on Monday!

We have some fun projects happening this spring! 1st graders are hatching chicks, and kinder prep students are enjoying seeing what happens to a flower when you put it in water with food coloring.

It was a great week at Blue Rapids Elementary! Our state assessments are coming to an end this week and as stated before I am just so proud of the students outstanding effort and attitude. As you can see from the dates below there is a lot going on down the stretch of the school year. I have been so pleased with our student body as a whole this year. We do have some amazing students. I am looking forward to a great finish to an outstanding year!

Summer is right around the corner and we're gearing up for Camp Exploration to head into orbit! Registration is now open for Valley Heights students currently in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We look forward to another great summer!

The Blue Rapids gym will be receiving repairs to its roof starting March 25th lasting 3 weeks. Please be careful on Chestnut St as there will be a lot of activity by the construction crew. Also, asking everyone to avoid parking by the gym on either side of Chestnut St due to equipment and dumpsters being placed there. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these repairs. 🚧👷

Each day in the elementary schools, we teach our students how to have purposeful interactions and goals. We believe that having a common purpose will promote the academic and social emotional well-being of each student. We teach students the VHS model.

To celebrate students accomplishing these things, we have created positive office referrals, with VHS tickets. Teachers and staff hand out VHS tickets when they see a student doing the right thing.

Congratulations to Serenity, Nellie, Aaliyah, and Izzy on being this week's VHS ticket drawing winners!
