Congratulations to Levi Crites and Ms. Josie Dunn, October's Student and Employee of the Month
"Levi Crites has shown exceptional dedication to his learning and consistently strives to do his best in every class. When he misses a day, he takes the initiative to catch up quickly and never lets himself fall behind. He demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to help his classmates succeed. His commitment to excellence and kindness toward others make him a wonderful example of what it means to be Student of the Month."
"Ms. Dunn has done an outstanding job working with some of our most challenging students, and she approaches every situation with patience, grace, and a smile. She consistently goes above and beyond to build positive relationships and create a supportive environment where students feel seen and valued. Ms. Dunn recognizes the potential in each of her students and works tirelessly to help them reach it. Her dedication, compassion, and belief in her students make a lasting difference every day, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our team."

#RSDREADS Reading Incentive
Our RMS Library reading incentive program starts in September! Here is how it works!
Students read a novel of their choice and then talk to a staff member about that book, they fill out a book talk slip, and then turn it in to the RMS Librarian.
Each time students participate, they are entered into a raffle to win a gift basket filled with prizes!!
Word of the Month: Self-Direct
This month, we’re challenging students to envision future goals and then take intentional steps toward who they want to be. We are partnering with you to grow and develop your child’s ability to self-direct. We can model self-direction by celebrating the positive in each day, seeking the good in others, and emphasizing our responsibility to make positive choices.
FYI:
HAC Information:
It is the goal of RMS teachers and staff to keep student grades updated weekly for parents and guardians to stay aware of their child's/children's progress throughout the semester. If you are having trouble accessing HAC (Home Access Center) you can email Stacee Frazier for help with login credentials.
Student Badges
7th Grade students will be issued badges in September. It is very important that students keep up with these ID badges throughout this school year. They will need them daily as a student at RMS. These badges are used in the library to check out books and with our athletic department to get into events for free. Please remind your student(s) to keep their ID badge with them in a safe place every day.
Lost & Found
The Lost and Found box is located outside the library. Please have your child check by the Library doors to see if something belongs to them. We clean the Lost & Found out at the end of each month.
Cell Phone Pouches
All students will start out the school year without a Yondr storage pouch. These pouches are used to store digital devices during the school day in order to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. These storage devices will limit distractions by securing students' cell phones, smartwatches, and earbuds during school hours. If a student has violated our cell phone policy, then they will be issued a storage pouch to help limit distractions.
If you or your student has a question, please email one of the admin team and we will get with them.
