Dear NorthPoint Seniors and Parents of Seniors:

Congratulations NorthPoint families on reaching this important milestone in your student's final year in high school! I know this year has just begun, but graduation will be here before you know it! I had the privilege of talking with many of you at the Open House event on August 12th. If you are new to NCA or we have not had the opportunity to talk, I am the Academic & College Advisor for the NCA high school. I have worked with students and families in both the secondary and post-secondary setting for the last 20 years and truly love working with students in families as they prepare for the transition to life after high school. Whether your senior plans to pursue a traditional 4-year college route, a 2-year college, trade school, military option, or work opportunity--I am excited to help with the process to ensure that it is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

To this end, I am requesting each family attend the official kickoff to the college application season. Here are the details:

When: Monday, August 18th, 2025, from 6:30 PM to approximately 8:00 PM

Where: Art Studio Room NorthPoint Lower School Building

Who: ALL senior students and at least ONE parent of each senior

Why: This is the only session where the complete details of the entire application season will be outlined. Even if your senior student is unsure about college as a post-secondary choice, please plan to attend. Most senior students who indicate they do not plan to go to college ultimately change their minds before reaching the end of the senior year. Please be a part of the total planning process to keep all options open for our senior students.
