Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Inkblot Is Re-Branding

This past year, Inkblot changed their name to Inkblot by GreenShield. ASEBP has learned that in the coming months, Inkblot by GreenShield will be fully rebranded to GreenShield Health.

ASEBP is committed to keeping you fully informed about the details of this rebrand as they receive them. In the meantime, ASEBP is developing a full communications plan for employers and covered members to ensure this brand transition is as smooth and seamless as possible. They are here to support you and answer any questions you may have. Rest assured, EFAP support and services will remain the same.

Over the last year, employers shared they would like more information to be made available about EFAP’s advisory services. While ASEBP is working on raising awareness about advisory services, they’d like to encourage covered members to visit the EFAP page on It Takes a Village to promote Inkblot by GreenShield’s advisory services and wellness hub.

Ever Active Schools to Develop K-6 Physical Education and Wellness Resources Ever Active Schools to Develop K-6 Physical Education and Wellness Resources

EAS is actively seeking K - 6 teachers, particularly from rural areas, to field test these resources and provide feedback

Alberta Education has contracted Ever Active Schools (EAS), a national charity focused on fostering healthy schools and communities, to create student-facing resources for the new K - 6 Physical Education and Wellness Curriculum. The first in a suite of resources launching throughout the fall, "What We’ll Learn in Physical Education and Wellness" posters, are now available in English and French for free. School authorities that would like to purchase laminated copies of the poster can order them through the EAS website. Until the end of September, the posters are accompanied by a free copy of the “Alberta Curriculum Quick Guide.” EAS is actively seeking K - 6 teachers, particularly from rural areas, to field test these resources and provide feedback. Additionally, EAS offers professional learning opportunities to help educators integrate the curriculum and build stronger school teams. For more information, contact EAS’ Executive Director Brian Torrance.

Division Values Division Values

Values: the beliefs people have, especially about what is right and wrong and what is most important in life, that control their behaviour.

Our Division Values are intended to influence each member of our organization every day. As we consider our role in teaching, modeling and promoting mental health literacy. it's important to be grounded in these values:

Respectful- Treat everyone, including yourself, with respect. Show that you care. See the value in everyone and celebrate our differences. "Treat others as you want to be treated."

Curious-Being curious is having an eagerness to learn more, exploring possibilities, and making the whole world your classroom. "Imagine the possibilities."

Responsible- Taking responsibility for doing the right things and being accountable for your actions, feelings, and words. "It's the choices you make and the actions you take."

Collaborative- Collaborating with others is how you create friendships, see things from other perspectives, and come up with bright new ideas and solutions for problems. Together we can do the impossible."

Resilient- Striving to recover successfully from challenges, disappointments, and adversity to emerge stronger and more capable of handling hard things in the future. "Life is tough, but so are you."

Healthy- Healthy means your mind, body, and spirit all working together so you can be the best you. "Power your body, brain, and soul."
