Meet Your Dual Credit Support Team
Meridian High School is proud to partner with students and families as they take the next step toward college and career readiness through dual credit coursework. This year, students will have a strong support team in place to help them stay organized, understand expectations, and make informed decisions about their future.
Dr. Lizette Paceley serves as the district’s P-TECH Director and Dual Credit Coordinator. In this role, she helps oversee dual credit programming, supports students and families through the college enrollment process, coordinates with college partners, and works to expand opportunities that help Meridian students earn college credit while still in high school.
Miss Estafana Whitmer serves as the Academic Advisor for Meridian High School. She helps students choose the right courses, monitor academic progress, stay on track with high school graduation plans, and connect dual credit coursework to associate degree and college degree plans. Mrs. Whitmer also serves as an important liaison between Meridian High School and our partner colleges and universities.
Mrs. Ann Penney serves as our Dual Credit Lab Facilitator. She provides daily supervision and support for students while they work on their dual credit coursework. Mrs. Penney helps create a focused and encouraging lab environment, supports attendance and work habits, and helps communicate student needs so that students feel supported as they take on college-level responsibilities.
Together, this team is committed to helping our Yellow Jackets feel confident, prepared, and supported as they begin or continue their dual credit journey.

Meet Mrs. Penney
Dual Credit Lab Facilitator
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Ann Penney as our Dual Credit Lab Facilitator this year! Mrs. Penney will be working with our dual credit students as they complete their college coursework, helping provide a structured, supportive space where students can stay focused, manage their responsibilities, and build confidence as college learners.
Mrs. Penney is a proud Meridian graduate from the Class of 1981, and she truly understands what it means to be a Yellow Jacket. She believes in the motto, “Once a Yellow Jacket, always a Yellow Jacket,” and we are grateful to have her investing in the next generation of Meridian students.
In this role, Mrs. Penney will help monitor attendance, support students with basic technology needs, encourage strong work habits, and communicate with campus staff when students need extra support. While the college instructors remain the teachers of record for dual credit courses, Mrs. Penney will be an important daily point of encouragement and accountability for our students.
When she is not supporting students, Mrs. Penney enjoys spending time with her 10 grandchildren, reading, and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. We are so thankful to have her as part of our dual credit team!
