After Day One
What you should have completed yesterday.
Collected Your Data
1. Collected data for 10 different masses.
2. Calculated the period of oscillation for each mass.
3. Recorded all data in your lab table.
Analyzed Your Data
4. Constructed a graph of mass vs period.
5. Linearized you data. Manipulate the data to produce a straight-line graph.
6. Write an equation that represents your linearized graph. Use y = mx + b and substitute your linearize variables and values.
Practice and Refine
7. Use your linearize equation to determine the mass of objects (known and unknown).
8. Refine your equation as needed. You have two class days to refine your equation.
9. Each member needs to practice collecting, analyzing and determining the mass of objects in preparation for the INDIVIDUAL assessment on day.
