Warrior Connection - January 4
January 4

Principal’s Note
I hope everyone enjoyed the two-week break from school. I certainly appreciated the chance to sleep in, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy a more relaxed pace. The break also gave me time to reflect on the past year and all that was accomplished. 2025 was a great year at West Minico, filled with growth, learning, and many special memories.
One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to talk with students—learning about who they are, celebrating their successes, and having a little fun along the way. As we begin 2026, I am looking forward to even more learning, growth, and moments that bring our school community together. A new year is a natural opportunity to start fresh, set goals, and build aspirations. I truly hope our students dream big and work hard to make those dreams a reality.
We are excited to welcome everyone back through our doors tomorrow morning—although I will admit, my alarm going off so early may take a little getting used to! If students need a printed copy of their schedule, they can check with their advisory teacher before school begins, and one will be provided.
Finally, Semester 1 report cards will be sent home with students on Tuesday. Thank you, as always, for your continued support as we partner together to help our students succeed.
We look forward to a great start to the new year at West Minico.

Every Minute Counts at West Minico
Family Engagement at West Minico
At West Minico, we believe that students are most successful when families and schools work together. Our Family Engagement Plan outlines how we share timely information, communicate about student progress, provide learning resources for families, and create meaningful opportunities for parents and guardians to be involved in their child’s education. We review this plan each year with family input to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our students and community. Thank you for being an essential part of our Warrior family.
