What's happening this month?
There is an important Village Support meeting on Saturday, March 21st, focusing on Guardian/Trustee responsibilities. Guest Speaker, Ryan Platt with A Special Needs Plan, will present from 11:30 - 12:30 on Davidson College Campus. The Davidson College buddies will host Buddy Club in an adjacent room during the meeting. Register HERE
Be sure to review the Important Dates below and mark your calendar. While it can be tempting to remain within familiar routines, we and our loved ones benefit greatly from time spent building friendships and community. Let us encourage one another to stay engaged, reach out, and explore new opportunities.
A Night to Shine
Night to Shine 2026 was nothing short of breathtaking—so much so, that it’s hard to find the right words to capture it. As I drove Laura home that evening, my heart was overflowing with joy and peace, as if the troubles of the world had simply faded away. The smiles, laughter, encouragement, joy, and hope were alive on the dance floor with our loved ones and their buddies—and just as present in the caregivers’ respite room. Thank you, Rocky Mount Church, for all you did to make this night so magical for our families. (written by Angie, Laura's mom)
A special shout-out to our incredible friends from the Davidson College Buddy Club, who experienced Night to Shine for the very first time and embraced their roles as buddies with such enthusiasm. Thank you for pouring into our loved ones with your whole hearts.
Be sure to mark your calendars for February 12, 2027. Registration for Night to Shine 2027 at Rocky Mount Church in Mooresville will open in December 2026—you won’t want to miss it!
