Hello Falcon Family!

Over the next few weeks, we will have our STAAR Interim assessments and TELPAS assessments. Please see the calendar below for specific testing days. If your child is testing, please be read our Falcon Tip of the Week (located in this newsletter).

Can you believe it's February, already?! We have the 100th Day of School TOMORROW, Valentines parties coming up, candy grams for sale, and more planned for our students this month. Read below for information on upcoming events!

A 2nd meeting has been scheduled for any parents and community members that couldn't attend last week's meeting.

At this meeting, you will:

• hear information about the curriculum and instructional best practices our teachers are implementing in their classrooms this year
• learn more about what it means to be a Title 1 school, parents rights to be involved in their child's education, and how they can support their child's academic progress within the Title 1 framework
• Ask specific questions and provide feedback in regards to the informatio shared

Have a conversation with your child about a time that you have practiced Habit 5 by seeking first to understand, then be understood. Encourgae your child to to seek first to understand when they are playing with their siblings or friends. Make up scenarios for your child to practice seeking first to understand, then be understood.

Thank you for sharing ideas through Possip this week! We’ve heard from 142 of you so far this year. We are seeing that 99% of you are happy or mostly happy with CORINTH ELEMENTARY this week.

This week we heard members of the community share examples of praise, appreciation, and feedback or questions.

• Thanks for the hard work of the teachers
• Appreciation for the school dance
• Ideas about student recognition
• Suggestions for school events

We are taking all of your feedback and ideas into consideration for our future planning and follow-up. We hope to hear from you again on our next Possip Pulse Check!
