Good evening, Grizzly Nation!

We had another exciting week at Grand Oaks this week as we hosted our Senior Parent Night, a varsity volleyball game, and our first pep rally of the year! We had great energy all week leading up to the first football game of the year. I love Texas Football because it is an opportunity for so many of our student groups to be on display to the community! Unfortunately, we were not able to finish our football game against the Klein Oak Panthers last night due to inclement weather, but the game will resume on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodforest Stadium. Please come out and help cheer our Grizzlies to victory!

Today, Friday, August 28, 2026, marked the end of the Marking Period 1 Three-Week Progress Report. MP1 Progress Reports will be available on Thursday, September 3, 2026. If your student is struggling academically, please encourage them to attend tutorials. Click here to view the Fall 2026 Tutoring Schedule.

Class of 2027 Senior Banners are now available to order! These beautiful banners are displayed on campus outside, along the athletic field fence, and then yours to keep when they are taken down in May 2027. Purse Bingo is back! Purse Bingo will be returning for the fourth year! Thank you to returning Luxe Sponsors The Wendy Ahmad Group and Lance LaGarce with Nations Lending! Tickets go on sale to the general public on September 14th, but if you are a GOHS PTO member you get early access to purchase your tickets (restrictions apply). Donations Needed for Homecoming Concessions! PTO is asking for our Grizzly families to help us with Homecoming 2026 Concessions items! If you can donate concession items to sell at the Homecoming Dance, we'd love for you to view our list here and select an item or two.

The Vertical Raise fundraiser is now open for our Class of 2027 Seniors! Please help us raise funds for our Class of 2027 Lock-In. You can do this by making sure your senior has registered for the Vertical Raise fundraiser and sent donation requests to their list of contacts you think might want to contribute! If you simply want to make a donation, we will accept any donation, big or small, here. The Graduation Lock-In event is solely funded by donations from our Grizzly community. We received zero funding from the school or district budget. This is why ensuring your Grizzly is registered for the fundraiser and sending our requests is so helpful!
