Chromebook TikTok Challenge Information Chromebook TikTok Challenge Information

The Technology Department has recently been made aware of a social media trend where students insert items into their Chromebooks, causing them to short circuit. This includes paperclips, gum wrappers, pencil lead, and more. Please keep an eye out for this behavior as it can be very dangerous and has the potential for injury. This would be intentional damage which is NOT covered by assurance and could possibly result in the need to replace the entire Chromebook.

Please be aware that the code to access the parent side of the app is changing. It will be K1Q0K for the updated app.

Boundary exceptions for 2025-26 school year

All families with in-district or out-of-district boundary exceptions (choice transfers) for the 2024-2025 school year need to reapply for the 2025-26 school year.

Please note a change to Choice Transfers for 2024-25 and beyond. Battle Ground Public Schools has switched from paper forms to an online application through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Applications for out-of-district student Choice Transfers in 2025-26 will be accepted starting at 7 a.m. on May 1. Applications submitted prior to that date will be denied, and the family will need to submit a new application after May 1. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received.

More information about this process and forms are on the district website.

Class of 2025 graduations

Graduation ceremonies will be held in just a few months. Learn about the plans for each school.

Speaking of graduation, did you hear that BGPS' class of 2024 had the highest graduation rate in more than a decade?

Finally, in recognition of the many ways that students achieve academic success, BPGS will expand recognitions at high school graduations starting with the class of 2028 (freshmen in 2025). Each high school will recognize the top 5% based on GPA but will not designate a valedictorian and salutatorian. Class rankings will continue to be available as needed. Learn more about this change.

Online accessibility

Ensuring all students have access to a quality education is a primary focus for Battle Ground Public Schools. Technology is a key to enabling access for students with various needs and challenges. Common accessibility tools include text-to-speech (read aloud), speech-to-text (voice dictation), color contrast options and magnification adjustments.

Accessibility features fall under the umbrella of Inclusive Technologies. Visit the district’s online resources page for more information on these resources and how you can access them if needed.

Report Incidents Anonymously with Safe Schools Report Incidents Anonymously with Safe Schools

Please report bullying, intimidation, harassment, threats and safety concerns using our anonymous reporting system. Reporters can remain anonymous. Emergencies should always be reported to 911. Learn more about emergency procedures and safety protocols.

Report, don’t repost

If you see or hear of a possible threat, please report it to law enforcement directly and/or to school staff. This is the best and most helpful action because it begins an investigation and helps to limit the potential for misinformation to spread. Reposting or sharing a threat on social media in an attempt to warn others spreads the threat farther from its original source and may cause unnecessary alarm and fear. You can report bullying, intimidation, harassment, threats and safety concerns using our anonymous reporting system. Emergencies should always be reported to 911.
