Dear Holy Rosary Families,

I hope your start of summer is going well. As we wrap up this school year, I wanted to share a late staffing change. Our wonderful art teacher, Miss Mullin, has made the decision to go back to school next year to get her Master's degree. We've posted for the position and will be looking for a new art teacher. Feel free to share the posting with anyone you know who might be interested!

I hope to see you at Father Oakland's parish going away party, this coming Sunday (June 23rd) from 4-7 in the school parking lot/playground. Fun and fun provided!

In Christ,

Anna

Keep your reading skills sharp by choosing some of these great books to read over the summer. In Junior High you will all take part in Battle of the Books, a fun academic team challenge where you will collectively read a list of books for a competition in the spring. You can get a jump start by reading some of the books off our Battle of the Books list this summer. You might also enjoy reading some great titles that have been nominated for book awards. No matter what books you choose, the most important part is to have reading be a part of your summer routine. Take your books with you on all your summer adventures and enjoy! Book List

A Night at the Derby was a record-setting event! Expenses are still coming in, but the event raised over $380,000. Between ticket sales and the online auction all expected expenses were covered. The $125 ticket price covers the meal, alcohol, venue, lighting, A/V, sound and decorations. In the coming weeks a survey will be sent to all 2024 auction guests, please answer the questions. This will help the auction committee make decisions over the summer so we are ready for our kickoff meeting in September.

Vacation Bible Camp

Vacation Bible Camp is a wonderful week of activities for kids around the theme. “SCUBA: Diving into Friendship with God.” Kids meet from 9-noon and participate in singing fun songs, teamwork-building games, one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, testing out sciency-fun experiments that get imagination bubbling, and much more! At Our Lady of Guadalupe’s VBC, we make it very camp-like. Children are all part of a crew with a teen leader. They meet as a whole group and then go to activity stations with their crew. They build friendships and have lots of fun all while learning more about God!
