Hello Spartans-

Thank you to all of our Friends and Families who came out to Back to School Night. We had an amazing turn out. Our teachers are working so hard to ensure that all of our Spartans have an fantastic year.

We need your help with Annual Verification. The more families who complete this process helps to bring in more funds for our site. Please go to PARENTVUE . Here are the directions to complete the Annual Verification Process. If we get over 95% of our families to complete this, our students will get a free dress day.

Complete Your Annual Verification – Help Newcomb K-8 Earn a Free Dress Day!

We’re asking all Newcomb K-8 families to log into ParentVUE and complete the Annual Student Verification. This process ensures that we have accurate contact information and communication preferences for your family, identifies students for important services and programs, and—most importantly—helps bring in additional funding for our school.

The more families who complete this process, the more money Newcomb receives to support our students. If we reach over 95% completion, our students will earn a Free Dress Day as a celebration!

Golf Classic 20th Anniversary Celebration and Friday Night Fever Benefit Bash

Golf by day, Disco by night! Join us on Friday, November 14th at El Dorado Park Golf Course as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the tournament that started it all. The Foundation hosts just 3 events during the school year and this one is sure to be a groovy time.

Below is our emergency drill schedule for the entire year. We practice each month evacuating the entire school. Staff and students prepare for fire and earthquake emergencies and we also practice Lock Down Drills (in the event there is an intruder on campus or police activity in the neighborhood). We also practice Shelter in Place Drills in the event their is an environmental emergency like heavy rain or a lightning storm, bee swarm or gas link. All classrooms are equipped with first aide kits and emergency supplies. This year we will be practicing a full scale disaster drill in February. The Newcomb team is fully prepared to ensure the health and safety of all our students and staff.

Recommended Supply Lists

After school playground supervision will begin on the 2nd day of school. Supervision will run from the end of school until 3:00 pm M-F. All students must be picked up by 3 pm. After 3 pm we do not have any adult supervision. Any students who are not picked up will be brought to the main office.

***The only exception will be on minimum days, when supervision will go from 1 pm to 2 pm.
