Redmen Review

Thirty-four junior and senior students, accompanied by school staff and parents, recently spent a week in Washington, D.C. and New York City. While there, students had the opportunity to explore and learn about many sites, including the Lincoln, Vietnam War, and Korean War Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, the Capitol and White House, Smithsonian and Holocaust museums, Washington's Mount Vernon, Broadway, Times Square, and the 9/11 Memorial.

Seniors need to turn in a senior picture and a baby picture to Mrs. Gregg by the end of April. They may be emailed to janelle.gregg@k12.sd.us or can be brought in as a physical copy.

Gabby, Chesnie, Lauren, Abbie and Beth traveled with their advisor, Mrs. Schaefer, to compete at the FFA AgriScience Fair held in Hartford on Wednesday. Gabby was named as a finalist in her category and will be honored at the State FFA Convention held in Brookings on April 18-20.

To promote safe driving in South Dakota, the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and South Dakota Broadcasters Association are giving away $20,000 — including $10K to one lucky student and $10K for the school program of their choice.

To enter the contest, students need to take a two-minute safe-driving quiz at LessonLearnedSD.com by April 30.

Please encourage driving-age students to take the quiz and to always be responsible when driving.
